FIBC Types
FIBC Classification Type A, B, C, D

FIBC Type A |
Plain Bag - No Static Protection Safe use:
Do not use:
|
FIBC Type B |
Plain Bag - Low Breakdown Voltage Prevents Propagating Brush Discharges Safe use:
Do not use:
|
| Interconnected Conductive Threads Dissipates Charge to Ground RG < 108 Ω Safe use:
Do not use:
|
FIBC Type D |
Does Not Require Grounding/Earthing Safe use:
Do Not Use:
|
Note: There is no CENELEC classification, "Groundable Type D" or "Type D+" As noted by the authors of the CENELEC Code of Practice, "Earthing [of Type D FIBC] has only a minor effect on charge dissipation and is not required." The requirements for effective earthing of an FIBC are defined under Type C FIBC - the conductive fabric and the conductive threads or filaments shall have a resistance to the earthing point of less than 108 Ω.
